Position Details

Position Title: Supervisor, Savings and Retirement Operations
Reports To: Manager, Savings and Retirement Operations
Department: S&R Operations
Term: Permanent Full-Time

Work Arrangements

This is a hybrid role. You will work in our Waterloo, ON office a minimum of two consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth day per month. You may work more than the minimum, and some roles might require additional in-office days.

We are seeking a passionate leader who prioritizes mentoring and developing effective teams. You will provide cross-training, ensure high service standards, and meet production targets. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will offer recommendations, implement solutions, and contribute to process improvements and system enhancements. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure daily operations (new business, in-force, and claims) meet quality, service, and production standards.
  • Supervise, develop, train, and support staff, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Provide technical support and system processing expertise within the division.
  • Analyze operations to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Communicate risks, costs, benefits, and changes related to financial processing and compliance.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert on processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Resolve complex issues, oversee production, and assist staff with error corrections and escalations.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Accounting, Math, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in Savings & Retirement industry, with knowledge of products, processes, and legislation.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and change management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in financial software systems and MS Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
