Supervisor - Retail

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Tasks include: Assigning sales workers to duties, hiring and training staff, authorizing payments by cheque, ordering and authorizing return of merchandise, establishing work schedules, preparing reports on sales, merchandising, and personnel matters, resolving customer issues, organizing inventory, supervising staff, overseeing payroll, conducting performance reviews, and supervising office and volunteer staff.

Supervision: 5-10 people.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.

Personal suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexible, organized, reliable, team player.

Experience

1 to less than 7 months.

Salary

$24.00 per hour, 35 hours per week.

Terms of employment

Permanent, full-time, with benefits including health care plan. Work schedule includes day, evening, night, weekend, overtime, early morning, and morning shifts. Starts as soon as possible. 1 vacancy available.
