Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Coordinator, Relational Security Operations, the Supervisor is responsible for leading assigned staff on shift, communicating with the Coordinator and Manager on-call after hours, and ensuring departmental policies and procedures are followed. The Supervisor maintains security of persons and property according to established policies.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervises staff, provides work direction, and participates in training.
  • Assists with performance reviews and reports on staff performance.
  • Promotes teamwork and proactively resolves issues.
  • Patrols buildings and grounds, uses surveillance equipment, enforces regulations, and identifies hazards.
  • Responds to emergencies, assesses situations, and takes appropriate action.
  • Investigates and reports disturbances, documents incidents.
  • Provides security for patients and staff, including escorts and assistance.
  • Operates security systems such as access control and CCTV.
  • Performs safety inspections of heliports.
  • Maintains logs and reports events.
  • Communicates with leadership after hours as needed.
  • Inputs data regarding incidents into the database.
  • Reviews reports for accuracy and handover.
  • Conducts investigations following incidents.
  • Supports staff with challenging behavior and emergency procedures.
  • Assists in creating security plans for high-risk individuals.
  • Coordinates with fire, police, and community officials.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
