Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing & Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing all aspects of the warehouse operations, procurement activities and direct supervision of stores personnel. This role encompasses areas such as inventory management and forecasting, dealing with contract negotiations, and researching and identifying opportunities for growth. The role will focus on ensuring goods and services are procured and administered in compliance with corporate guidelines and drive continuous improvement.
Oversees the smooth and efficient operation of the purchasing and warehouse located at the Pulp Mill in Edmundston, NB. They work to secure the best possible pricing, ensure high‑quality standards, and maintain a seamless supply chain to meet the company's daily operational and strategic needs.
Serves as a point person in vendor relationships, answering any questions or concerns suppliers have. Large portion of the day is spent in office, making calls, sending emails to suppliers, entering data, researching new suppliers, and reviewing/negotiating purchase agreements. Maintains inventory of the warehouse to ensure that products are available and accessible when the operations need them. This can involve instructing staff to conduct inventory reviews, identify low levels and replenish them as required. Coordinates with leaders from other departments to ensure that the warehouse is ready for optimal operation.
