Reporting to the Director of Production Employees, the Production Supervisor in Toronto is a key role in guiding and motivating the Production team. Through dynamic and inspiring leadership, this individual oversees the daily operations and fosters the professional growth of the production staff, ensuring their success and excellence in their roles.

Your day will look like this :

  • Lead and supervise all production employees at the Toronto office, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and standards;
  • Conduct frequent visits to production sites to assess talent, connect with employees, foster engagement and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including HR, Sales, and PMO, for effective workforce planning;
  • Guide and influence production team to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, while proactively addressing and resolving challenges and unexpected issues;
  • Engage in information sessions during the initiation of new projects to align team efforts with division’s goals;
  • Partner with the assignment team to execute strategic workforce planning and drive continuous improvements;
  • Facilitate regular feedback sessions with production staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth;
  • Oversee the performance and skill development of the team, ensuring alignment with division’s talent management strategies;
  • Oversee and approve employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with internal policies and practices;
  • In close collaboration with HR Department, lead local recruitment efforts for production staff;
  • Facilitate the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a seamless integration into the company’s culture;
  • Address performance management issues through coaching, advisory, and training initiatives;
  • Identify and address training needs, ensuring compliance with corporate standards in health and safety, technical skills, and other relevant areas;

Health and Safety Compliance : Collaborate closely with the Project Management Team to ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards across all production sites, aligning practices with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.

Your profile :

  • Proficient in written and spoken English;
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in team management in the audiovisual field;
  • University or college degree in audiovisual, or other relevant training or work experience;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software;
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, motivate, manage, and inspire employees to perform their best as a team; empathy and emotional intelligence to understand and support team members;
  • Strong skills in planning, organization, and coordination, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment; ability to anticipate problems and find effective solutions while adhering to company policies and operational processes;
  • Conflict resolution skills to effectively manage and resolve workplace disputes;
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a constantly evolving environment where innovation, continuous improvement, and speed of execution are competitive advantages;
  • Customer Service orientation (internal / external);
  • Strong ability to anticipate problems and find effective solutions while respecting company policies and operational processes;
  • Ability to work in variable schedules and travel to production sites.
