Job summary

Walmart Canada in Cornwall, ON is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical support for our facilities and equipment. You will coordinate maintenance calls, assign resources, review work orders, and ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires a valid Ontario Electrician or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification and hands-on leadership in preventative maintenance.

Qualifications

• Ontario Electrician or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification.
• Experience in maintenance supervision is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage calls for maintenance support and assign appropriate resources.
• Coordinate work order and preventative maintenance assignments.
• Review completed tasks to ensure proper procedures were followed and repairs are effective.
• Ensure maintenance associates are properly trained and certified for their roles.
• Guide and support maintenance staff and escalate issues to the Maintenance Manager as needed.
• Coordinate and manage external contractors and ensure safety training and certifications are up to date.
• Track hours and shift coverage; manage daily scheduling.
• Communicate ongoing projects to all departments and provide updates to leadership.

Position Summary...This position is responsible (with support from Maintenance Manager) to oversee all aspects of mechanical, electrical and electromechanical support of equipment, facilities (in house and contracted) though leading edge proactive and preventative maintenance processes.What you'll do...Manage calls for maintenance support and assign appropriate resources.Coordinate work order and preventative maintenance assignments. Review completed assigned tasks and work orders to ensure proper procedures are followed and repairs are effective and completed properly.Ensure maintenance associates are properly trained and hold valid certification for all aspects of their role & responsibilities.Guide and support maintenance associates and address any issues or concerns that arise. If these require additional support the Maintenance Manager should be informed and involved.Coordinate and manage outside contractors who are performing work on the grounds or in the facility. Ensure proper training and certification is maintained for all contractors and all onsite safety procedures are being followed.Track hours and time keeping of maintenance associates and handle all shift assignments or shift coverage requirements on a daily basis.Communicate with all departments any ongoing projects that will impact the business including repair or preventative maintenance activities. Update and escalate when appropriate following established procedures.Prepare daily shift reports and ensure system error logs are being reviewed every 2 hours. Provide ongoing updates and system performance reviews with the Maintenance Manager.Additional Information:Primarily responsible for supporting the 2401 SCM Way location, with occasional support provided to the 1501 Industrial Park Drive location as required.Must hold a valid Ontario Electrician or Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification.The pay range for this position is $85,600.00 - $112,350.00.
