This role will effectively manage Material Handling Equipment (MHE) assets at multiple PCL facilities (Depots A, B, C, and subsidiaries) within a defined geographical region (Province of B.C.), overseeing PCL employees and contractors through established processes and systems. Success will be measured by equipment performance (reliability/quality), safety (compliance with standards and accident rates), costs (equipment, facility, labor), and the implementation of continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities
- Ensure 100% compliance with quality, health & safety rules, guidelines, and regulations; properly execute Maintenance Programs meeting all OHSA and legislative requirements.
- Develop, manage, inspect, and oversee maintenance programs for Material Handling Equipment / Conveyors to ensure availability, reliability, and performance.
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs, and plan in-house and contractor work.
- Perform periodic inspections to assess maintenance quality and equipment condition.
- Regularly check inventory of parts and tools, ordering as needed.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Coordinator for procurement of supplies, parts, services, and equipment.
- Support the standardization and development of the CMMS system and contribute to the Life Cycle Asset Management program.
- Foster a positive work environment, engaging and motivating staff, and supporting employee training and development.

Qualifications
- 5-7 years of supervisory experience managing skilled trades (welders, millwrights, electricians, mechanics).
- Conveyor system experience in high-volume, 24/7 environments; leadership experience managing 8-10 tradespeople.
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Over 5 years of progressive experience in reliability-centered environments, including conveyor, material handling, courier, or mail operations.
- Red Seal Certification is an asset.
- Experience in manufacturing or logistics industries is an asset.
- Experience managing unionized staff is an asset.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Navisworks, or Revit.
- General health and safety knowledge (OHSA, ESA, CSA, ULC).
- Proficiency in risk analysis and data analysis techniques, including FMEA, FTA, Weibull analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Hands-on troubleshooting skills with a mechanical background.
- Excellent time management, organizational, communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and various shifts.
