Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Cage and Credit, the incumbent assists in managing and guiding department staff; evaluates applications for lines of credit and makes appropriate decisions to approve, deny, or modify; refers requests over a pre-determined dollar amount to the Director of Cage and Credit.


Essential Functions:
  1. Prepares and types correspondences, forms, reports, charts, and graphs.
  2. Sets up and maintains all files, records, and logs as required.
  3. Places, accepts, and screens telephone calls and refers calls to others.
  4. Receives, opens, and distributes incoming mail documents.
  5. Ensures all necessary reports and correspondences are forwarded timely to the proper management.
  6. Maintains the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality regarding team members and guests.
  7. Participates in processing customer credit applications including verification of bank and credit information.
  8. Assumes responsibility for maintaining credit files and required reports.
  9. Reviews credit applications for completeness.
  10. Ensures credit background checks on patrons are properly completed, updates patron credit files, and completes all other necessary file maintenance.
  11. Monitors compliance with OLG regulations, company policies, and AML/FINTRAC regulations.
  12. Displays positive morale and high service standards consistently.
  13. Oversees execution of company and property objectives related to the Cage Department.
  14. Directs smooth, efficient, cost-effective operations including labor management, supervision of services, and inventory control; oversees staffing levels and makes adjustments as needed, monitoring FTE compliance.
  15. Ensures staff knowledge of fraud prevention and scams.
  16. Assists in quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes.
  17. Monitors department expenses related to daily operations and payroll.
  18. Leads delivery and measurement of guest services aligned with company standards and brand attributes.
  19. Provides input into research, development, evaluation, and implementation of new products, services, technology, and processes to maintain competitive position.
  20. Creates a work environment promoting teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
  21. Collaborates with casino executives and hosts for customer benefit.
  22. Oversees guest service standards, responds to and resolves guest and employee complaints promptly, and solves problems proactively.
  23. Oversees scheduling, staffing, and payroll issue resolution.
  24. Continuously reviews processes for efficiency improvements.
  25. Assists with variance resolution and reporting.
  26. Responsible for ensuring asset security in Cage Operations.
  27. Partners with all Casino Operational areas to ensure effective communication.
Qualifications

Experience, Education, and Certifications
  • Managerial or supervisory experience of three (3) or more years, preferably within a high-volume Casino Cage department or commercial bank.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages and ability to manage multiple tasks under time constraints.

  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, prioritization, and analytical skills.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to walk distances.
  • Must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:
  • Work is typically performed in a highly regulated environment, with occasional presence on the Casino Floor, which may involve exposure to noise and other environmental factors.
