Reporting to the CACC Manager, the Supervisor plans, manages, and coordinates daily operations of the Sault Ste. Marie CACC, a key part of Ontario’s emergency health services system. CACC utilizes advanced dispatch and communication technology and operates 24/7. The role also supports the Manager and acts on their behalf during absences.
Duties
- Support process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Propose and implement ideas to improve work procedures and service quality.

- Maintain statistics and records.
- Communicate regularly with other departments.

- Coordinate daily communication with the manager.

- Ensure accurate and complete time cards for payroll.
- Develop and deliver orientation, training, and education programs.
- Provide resources for strategic and operational initiatives.
- Manage resource utilization, workload assessment, and staff breaks.
- Contribute to budget development, monitoring, and variance management.
- Manage conflict resolution among staff.
- Coach and develop direct reports.
- Ensure occupational health and safety compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of collective agreements and labor relations.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Ontario’s emergency health services system, including governance, operations, and legislation.
- Post-secondary diploma/certificate or management experience; demonstrated leadership.
- Ministry of Health Ambulance Communications Officer certification.
