Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Supervisor, Business Accounting Support, on a permanent basis on our Local Co-op Financial Services and Systems team.

This hybrid position is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Are you a collaborative leader with a passion for process improvement and delivering exceptional client service? Join our Local Co-op Financial Services and Systems team, where you’ll guide a dedicated group of professionals supporting local Co-ops across the CRS with vital accounting operations and strategic financial insights.

What you’ll do :

  1. Lead and support a team of in-scope accounting professionals responsible for EFT, Accounts Receivable support, and Patronage & Equity services for local Co-ops.
  2. Provide expert guidance on complex patronage and equity processes, tax remittances, T4A / T5 issuance, and amalgamation support while acting as a key point of contact for local Co-ops and government agencies.
  3. Drive process improvements by reviewing and optimizing accounting procedures, identifying opportunities for efficiencies, and supporting new service offerings.
  4. Support system implementation by maintaining knowledge of both mainframe and JDE systems and assisting with the transition at the local Co-op level.
  5. Manage and develop team members through coaching, performance management, and workforce planning to ensure high-quality service delivery and meet organizational goals.

Who you’ll work with :

You will lead a team of five direct reports, including Accounting Technicians and Data Entry Clerks, while also providing guidance to the broader Retail Accounting team and local Co-ops across the CRS. You will work closely with local Co-op Controllers and administration staff, offering expertise on patronage, allocations, and accounting processes, and will report into the Senior Manager, Retail Accounting.

Who you are :

You are looking for a career in Finance and :

  • Have a bachelor’s degree, majoring in accounting.
  • Have 3–6 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance, with a combination of education and experience that demonstrates readiness to lead others. Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in process improvement, system implementation/upgrades, and data analysis.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is considered an asset.
