Qualifications

  • Must have current qualifications of NLS, RC/LSS Instructor (preferred), and Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • 2 years' experience as an aquatic's instructor and lifeguard.
  • Cash handling and inventory experience is an asset.

HOURLY RATE: $23.27/hour

PART TIME HOURS

The incumbent is a member of the Aquatics Leadership team. Reporting to the Manager of Aquatics, this position is responsible for supervising the pool areas and services provided to guests in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner that will result in a positive guest experience. The Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing front line staff duties, managing rotations, breaks, daily tasks list. Working collaboratively with the Assistant Manager and Manager, assist in facilitation and development of schedules, training, daily operations, performance management and implementation and management of SOPs.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
  • Supervise employees ensuring that all operating standards are met in order to maintain safety around pool area - this includes Plunge Aquatic Center as well as any lodging or off site properties that are staffed.
  • Assist in any way possible to assure proper customer service is being upheld including cleanliness of facility, monitoring guest safety, service recovery, guest escalations, first aid etc.
  • Wear many hats working in all positions within the facility including all job duties from reporting positions including LG, Instructor, CSR, Generalist and Pool Attendant when required (ex. When covered breaks).
  • Report any incidents or emergencies immediately with the appropriate paperwork completed.
  • Participate in training and performance evaluation of staff.
  • Manage cashier float and ensure appropriate money handling procedures are followed.
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
  • Must have current qualifications of: NLS, RC/LSS Instructor (preferred), and Standard First Aid and CPR.
  • LSS examiner preferred.
  • Includes constant re-certifying of awards to keep current.
  • 2 years' experience as an aquatic's instructor and lifeguard.
  • Cash handling and inventory experience is an asset.
