Position Overview:

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Assign delivery routes to drivers, respecting collective agreements.
  • Coordinate pickups with suppliers, respecting reception appointments and maximizing driver efficiency.
  • Ensure timely deliveries to customers, considering parameters like cubic maximization, reducing overtime, and service levels.
  • Prepare necessary delivery documents (routesheets, bills of lading).
  • Plan repairs and maintenance for tractor and trailer fleet in compliance with law 430 and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Manage drivers' driving hours.
  • Coordinate trailer loading with warehouse controllers.
  • Assist in analysis and support immediate supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather updates from previous shifts
  • Review operations and assign labor accordingly
  • Manage emails, load printing, driver assignments, and reconcile loads
  • Organize and consolidate retail and non-retail loads
  • Assign drivers and routes based on operational needs
  • Update subsequent shifts with critical information
  • Handle incoming calls
  • Lead diverse teams fostering inclusiveness
