Job Description
At THRIVE Child Development Centre / THRIVE Centre de développement de l’enfant, we believe in supporting each child and family to reach beyond what is expected toward the extraordinary. We’re a non-profit Children’s Treatment Centre in Northeastern Ontario that provides family-centered, strength-based care.
THRIVE is proud to offer an inclusive, educational, and developmentally appropriate Entry to School Program. This program supports families with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) who are between the ages of 3 to 6 entering school for the first time. In this program, we support our clients to further develop their skills in the following areas: communication, play, social interaction, functional routines, behavioural self-management, and pre-academics, learning and attention. In addition, our clients, caregivers and school staff are supported during the transition, through consultation services.
We’re looking for a Supervised Instructor Therapist to join our fun, compassionate, and collaborative Entry to School Program (ETS) team! This opportunity (until September 2027, with the possibility of extension), will help prepare children with ASD to thrive in school through play-based learning, developmental skill-building, and lots of creativity.
Our hours are Monday thru Friday and staff work 37.5 hours a week.
At THRIVE, we believe in teamwork, partnership, and making a real difference. We support a workplace culture rooted in curiosity, collaboration, and optimism, where people are encouraged to grow.
In addition to being part of a fun and collaborative team, here’s what else you can expect:
THRIVE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, lived experiences, and abilities. Accommodations are available at all stages of the recruitment process; you can reach People & Culture at 705-759-1131, as we are happy to help.
