Job summary

Ledcor Group in Alberta seeks a Power Line Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, with high quality, on time, and within budget. You will work directly with Ledcor Utilities’ workforce and subcontractors.

This role emphasizes leadership in HS&E, adherence to the Project Specific Safety Program (PSSP) and OH&S/OSHA standards, and supervising the field team to deliver projects per plans and specs.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Power Line Technician certification.
  • 10+ years of transmission power line construction experience; distribution experience is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience working on industrial facilities projects.
  • Solid understanding of current distribution power line construction practices.
  • Track record of building successful teams and promoting teamwork through motivating, coaching, and consensus-building.
  • Proven ability to guide safe work practices in a high-pressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule, and budget.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents (including utility plans and maps), contracts, costs, and budgets.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite; intermediate to advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Clean driver’s abstract and successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements.

Work Conditions
  • Travel to site on a rotational basis.
  • Alberta‑based preferred but candidates from out of province will be considered if willing to work on a rotational basis.
