Position Overview

Ganotec is a full-service, heavy industrial contractor serving the industrial sector across Canada. Ganotec typically self-performs all major disciplines including civil, structural steel erection, heavy mechanical equipment installation, process piping, and electrical/instrumentation and controls. We conduct our business through various contract styles including full turnkey, EPC, design-build, T&M, and conventional discipline packages. We emphasize partnering, working collaboratively with owners, major equipment suppliers, and engineers early in project development to enable cost-effective execution strategies. Location

This role is located in the GTA area.

Responsibilities

• Plan foreman and crew activities
• Assist in the coordination and planning of projects
• Oversee operations related to specific disciplines/segments of work
• Perform daily inspections of work performed
• Provide job safety training and awareness for personnel
• Establish budgetary guidelines and ensure cost control measures are followed
• Set quality standards and ensure compliance with quality assurance and company standards

Qualifications

• 8+ years' construction experience, including 3+ years in a Mechanical Superintendent/Leadership role (preferably in oil & gas industry)
• Ability to oversee multiple disciplines such as steel, piping, mechanical
• Self-starter, highly motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
• Quick learner with understanding of Ganotec's policies, procedures, and software
• Problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Leadership, safety, negotiation, planning, and contract administration experience
