Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a seasoned Superintendent with 8+ years of field operations experience for a single, complex Highrise residential project in Toronto. You will lead a team of superintendents, ensuring safety, scheduling, budget, quality, and client satisfaction, while leveraging your industry expertise to achieve project goals.

You will apply your safety program experience and strong communication to coordinate with safety personnel, subcontractors, and consultants, driving PQP/PEP conformance

Qualifications

• 8+ years of high-rise residential construction experience in a Superintendent role.
• Experience leading a team and coordinating with clients/consultants.
• Strong knowledge of safety, OH&S and building codes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver\'s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff to deliver a single complex high-rise project to completion.
• Ensure safety regulations and Ledcor safety programs are followed.
• Lead pre-bid/preconstruction site layout, logistics, and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with safety personnel and ensure safety plans are followed.
• Develop Project Quality Program (PQP) and ensure conformance with PEP.
• Review and maintain schedule, identify delays, and lead solution development.
• Promote site safety and ensure subcontractor compliance with standards.
• Manage equipment on projects and return when not required.
• Participate in hiring hourly employees and manage timecards for job costing.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients/consultants.

Description

You are a seasoned Superintendent with over 8 years of field operations experience working in multi-disciplinary large-scale, Highrise residential projects. You will lead a team of superintendents for a project, ensuring adherence to company standards for safety, scheduling, budget, quality control, and client satisfaction. You will leverage your industry expertise to achieve project goals while contributing to the organization’s long-term success.

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversee staff to ensure the successful delivery of a single complex Highrise residential construction project to completion
• Ensures that field staff are equipped with the resources required to efficiently complete projects according to approved plans, specifications and applicable building codes while ensuring that safety regulations are strictly followed
• Actively participates in the pre-bid and preconstruction process regarding site layout, logistics, scheduling, and workforce planning
• Works collaboratively with safety personnel to ensure adherence to Ledcor’s Corporate safety programs and policies
• Ensures all projects follow Ledcor’s Construction Operations Manual and lead the development of the Project Quality Program (PQP), ensuring PEP conformance
• Review and maintain schedule, ensure milestones are met, identify scheduling issues and delays and lead solution development
• Promotes the overall site safety program including subcontractor compliance with Ledcor standards, the Project Specific Safety Plan (PSSP), and all applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes
• Oversees the care and maintenance of internal and rental equipment on projects to maximize use while on the job sites and returns equipment to storage or the rental company when no longer required
• Participates in the hiring and managing of hourly employees as required, and maintains, approves, and submits hourly timecards with all necessary details for job costing purposes
• Maintains strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients/consultants to ensure client needs are met and ensure future business opportunities
• Supports and promotes Ledcor’s core values of safety, quality, integrity, sustainability and success

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-cycle high-rise residential construction experience in a Superintendent position or similar with demonstrated ability to successfully lead a high-performing team and build solid long-term relationships with external clients and consultants
• Experience managing construction projects within high rise residential, mass timber, and other complex projects
• Combination of work experience in a similar role and industry related trade certification/education
• Expertise in safety within the organization and knowledge of OH&S and Environmental standards and regulations
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, and the ability to work with senior management
• Strong technical knowledge of modern construction practices, documents, drawings, schedules, technologies, equipment, industry practices and contract negotiations
• Expertise in coaching and developing team members through constructive feedback and providing opportunities for development
• Ability to anticipate problems and challenges, while providing leadership in creating innovative solutions to achieve organizational objectives
• Must have and maintain a valid drivers license

Working Conditions

• Site based position in Toronto, Ontario
• Valid drivers license and clean abstract

Compensation

$112,500.00 - $150,000.00

This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
