We are currently looking for a highly experienced superintendent to work in our GC space and oversee the day-to-day construction and coordination of projects, including pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, and facilities. This role is ideal for a skilled leader who understands the intersection of civil and mechanical systems and thrives in a fast-paced, site-focused environment.

Position Overview :

As the Superintendent, you’ll manage the onsite execution of projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to high standards of quality. You’ll coordinate both civil and mechanical scopes of work, lead field teams and subcontractors, and act as a key liaison between the site and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead all onsite activities for pump station projects, including both civil (excavation, concrete, piping) and mechanical (pump systems, valves, chambers) components and other facility requirements.
  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, field crews, and equipment operators to ensure efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications, resolving technical and field issues proactively.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers, engineers, and inspectors to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety standards, environmental regulations, and corporate procedures.
  • Oversee delivery, staging, and use of materials and equipment on site.
  • Monitor progress, maintain site logs, and report daily to the project team on productivity, milestones, and challenges.
  • Mentor and guide junior field staff, fostering a positive and safe work environment.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in pump station or water / wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of civil and mechanical systems involved in municipal pumping facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and civil plans.
  • Proven leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills in a field setting.
  • Certifications in Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights, and Supervisor Safety Awareness (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and ensure quality across all trades on site.
