A leading educational institution in Ontario is seeking a Superintendent of Education to provide innovative leadership within a family of schools. The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is one of the largest and most diverse school districts in Ontario with approximately 73,000 students attending 151 schools (125 elementary and 26 secondary) located throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Caledon, and Orangeville. Superintendent of Education : Family of Schools
Effective February 3, 2025
Overall Responsibilities :
Reporting to the Associate Director of Education – Instructional Services, the Superintendent of Education : Family of Schools has responsibility for providing innovative leadership and administrative effectiveness within a family of schools in implementing board policy, appropriate curriculum initiatives, parent engagement, and liaison with parishes. The Superintendent of Education is responsible for ensuring that the integration of programs and services offered in the Dufferin-Peel schools within the Family of Schools is current, appropriate, and consistent with the board’s philosophy of Catholic education in keeping with the board’s mission statement, Multi-Year Strategic Plan (MYSP) and in conformity with the policy, guidelines and standards issued by the Ministry of Education and within the overall Acts and Regulations of the province.
The ideal candidate will bring to the position :
Interested applicants are required to submit a resume, fully detailing qualifications, and experience and a six (6) month entry plan emphasizing the Catholic nature of our schools, Student achievement and the Strategic and System Directions as articulated in the MYSP. All packages must include proof of qualifications including Supervisory Officer qualifications
