Parker Huggett in the GTA is seeking a Superintendent to lead municipal sewer and watermain work. You will oversee field crews, coordinate open-cut installations, and ensure safety and quality on projects across dense urban settings.
This role offers growth into larger programs, exposure to transit and utilities, and the autonomy to call the shots with in-house equipment and haulage behind you. Legal to work in Canada required; salary range CAD 130,000–170,000 per year.
Every great civil contractor starts in a trench.
More than fifty years ago, this business started with a crew, a few machines and sewer and watermain work on local streets. When a recession quieted the city, their grit and determination kept their people working. That instinct, to say yes to the hard jobs and deliver through adversity, has never left.
Today they are among Canada’s leading civil contractors and still entrepreneurial at heart. Self-perform crews, their own equipment and haulage, and a portfolio that now runs from downtown watermains and flood protection to transit, power, utilities and design-build, across Canada and into the US.
Sewer and water is still where it all began, and still where the business proves itself every day. They are welcoming a Superintendent to lead that work, and to grow with a company that is moving fast.
If you love the craft of underground work and want a career with somewhere to go, read on.
Why the timing is right:
You have earned your stripes underground. Crews follow your plan because it works, inspectors take your word because it holds, and your Project Manager knows the job is in good hands the moment you are on it.
Now you want more of the work you love, and a company big enough to show you what comes next: bigger programs, exposure to new challenges and leaders who notice the people who deliver.
Above all, you take pride in work that disappears under the asphalt and keeps a community running for the next fifty years.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Please note that all candidates must be legally permitted to work in Canada to be considered for this role.
