A leading slope-side hotel in Canada is seeking a Summit Club Host to provide exceptional service and create personalized experiences for guests. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of upscale dining experience and a strong knowledge of food and wine. Imagine arriving to work at a stunning slope-side hotel after lapping one of our three mountains on your skis or snowboard. We are recruiting Summit Club Hosts for the upcoming winter season. The Summit Club Host brings experience in fine dining serving and hosting, with energy and confidence. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and being a self-starter. Knowledge of Sun Peaks and food and wine is a plus. Compensation: $21.00 per hour

Physical Requirements: Heavy lifting; handling loads between 20kg and 35kg; mainly indoor work.

Location: This position requires physical presence at the designated location.

This role is eligible for an incentive: $1 per hour worked upon completing a full winter season contract. Conditions apply and will be shared during the interview and onboarding.

Skills Required:

  • 2-3 years serving in upscale dining or concierge experience
  • Gracious hosting and relationship-building skills
  • Familiarity with Sun Peaks community and connections (a plus)
  • Energetic, positive attitude, driven to deliver excellent guest experiences
  • Responsible, reliable, calm under pressure
  • Excellent food and wine knowledge; ability to describe service items eloquently

Primary Responsibilities:

Service & Operations:

  • Provide exceptional service following hotel standards
  • Attention to detail in setup, service, and cleanup
  • Assist with buffet setup and food presentation, ensuring food safety
  • Prepare daily coffee, tea, and snack bar items
  • Serve beverages; open wine and take drink orders
  • Show passion for hospitality, service, and food
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Assist as needed during busy times, including greeting guests

Guest Experience:

  • Create personalized, elevated experiences for Summit Club guests
  • Replenish buffet, refill beverages, clear dishes
  • Provide warm, professional welcome to VIP guests
  • Build and maintain guest relationships
  • Address guest concerns with the Front Office or F&B leadership
  • Promote hotel and event programs

Team Commitment:

  • Work collaboratively within a dynamic team
  • Contribute to effective communication and smooth service
  • Assist with cleanup, inventory, and closing duties
  • Make prompt decisions in emergencies for guest and hotel safety
