Are you passionate about adventure and want to help people explore Drumheller?

Here at Bikes and Bites we’re about helping people feel the joy of adventure through e-bike tours, rentals, and sandwiches. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming experience for everyone. We’re looking for friendly, eager and service-focused individuals to join our team for the summer.

YOUR ROLE

  • Create memorable experiences for our visitors through friendly and timely service that makes people feel good and want to come back again and again.
  • Enthusiastically engage with visitors to promote our products and services alongside Drumheller tourism opportunities.

The main tasks you are responsible for are:

  • Helping folks rent e-bikes and join tours.
  • Computer bookings, processing payments, helmet fitting, route ideas, instructing bike use and safety.
  • Helping to keep the shop and bikes operating well - cleaning and stocking.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A customer service-oriented mindset that focuses on providing consistent, quality service and enhancing visitors’ experience.
  • Outgoing, friendly, and creative.
  • Flexible schedule (weekday and weekend work required).
  • Interest in learning new skills and problem-solving.
  • Able to work both alone and with others, fostering a positive team environment.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and ensure you stay busy and seek out the next helpful task.
  • Confident asking for additional support, clarification, and/or adjusting workload.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs.

ASSETS

Experience or training in any of the following:

  • Customer service - food service or a commercial kitchen.
  • Bike maintenance or basic mechanics.
  • Basics interactive course (or greater).
  • Qualify for the Youth Employment & Skills Strategy program or other funding opportunities.

HOURS

Role starts in early May at 12-18 hours/week. Hours will increase in June, up to 20-40 hours/week in July and August. Role ends in early September.
