Job description

The primary objective is to create, promote, and conduct activities which contribute to communities being healthier places to live.

The Summer Student Worker will possess leadership qualities, demonstrate a positive attitude, and possess a willingness to work on community projects. Some activities may include spring cleanup, culture camps, family camps, and other activities as directed.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Work closely in a mentoring environment with Family Service and Prevention Service workers.
2. Assist the Family Service and Prevention Service workers with various duties including attending meetings, planning sessions, training, and family camp.
3. Monitor family visits and transport clients/children in care.
4. Ability to work independently and under the supervision of the Family Service and Prevention staff.
5. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Grade 12 Diploma.
2. Must be able to provide a recent and satisfactory Criminal Record check, Driver’s Abstract, and Child Abuse Record check.
