The Yukon Federation of Labour represents all Yukon workers regardless of union affiliation, including unionized, private sector, unorganized, and excluded employees. We work for the interests and advancement of all Yukon workers’ rights as an umbrella organization made up of affiliated unions and locals from throughout the Yukon, and part of the Canadian Labour Congress.

Role Description

This is a contract remote role for an Accountant at the Yukon Federation of Labour. The Accountant will be responsible for analyzing financial data, audit and advising on general ledger and reporting set up in Netsuite Social Starter Editon for Non-profits, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.

Qualifications

• Financial Accounting, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting skills
• Experience in preparing financial statements and analyzing financial data
• Knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
