Job description

Reporting to Luanne Rediron, the successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, and will assist with a variety of administrative tasks that keep our office running smoothly.

This position is located in La Ronge, Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Maintain office supply inventory and place orders as needed
  • Assist in organizing documents, filing, and data entry tasks
  • Use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software to prepare reports, memos, and documents
  • Update and maintain log records for fuel and other transactions
  • Organize and maintain KPLP’s electronic filing system
  • Assist in drafting policies and procedures, as requested by the management team
  • Provide administrative support to management and other staff
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

  • Must be a current post-secondary student returning to school in the fall
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office equipment
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Previous office experience is an asset but not required
  • Demonstrate ability to foster collaborative relationship within a diverse workforce, have excellent organizational skills and must be willing to work flexible hours (weekends, if necessary)
  • Demonstrates reliability, dependability and flexibility
  • A valid driver’s license
