A leading community care organization seeks a summer student for the role of Recreational Program Assistant. Responsibilities include assisting with recreational programs and ensuring residents engage in activities that promote socialization and well-being. Candidates require a background in relevant studies and experience with seniors, providing a supportive environment for residents.
Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Private Care, the incumbent is responsible to assist the operations of recreational, leisure and educational programs for residents in accordance with their abilities, strengths, interests and former lifestyles. The student will be escorting the residents to their daily activities and programs as well as encouraging them to socialize with others to promote harmony and friendship. The student will conduct research and provide recommendations on new games and activities. The student will observe residents’ behavior and record feedback on existing and new programs.
