Job summary

Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative is seeking a Summer Student to join our Flin Flon office for the May–August 2027 term. You will support assurance engagements, review client data, and help prepare files in a paperless environment while developing your accounting knowledge.

The role is full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM in Flin Flon, MB. Salary details will be shared later in the process.

Qualifications

• Be a current student enrolled in a post-secondary institution with a business or accounting focus.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication across all levels.
• Show analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Filling an important role in the completion of assurance engagements for a variety of clients directly performing assurance procedures using established processes.
• Review client information and prepare query lists
• Prepare client files in a paperless environment
• A variety of basic analysis on client files
• Growth of your knowledge and professional skill set

A successful candidate will have:

• Be a current student enrolled in a post-secondary institution (business or accounting major).
• Good written and verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels
• Strong analytical skills along with attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel
