Essential Responsibilities:

  • Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required.
  • Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.).
  • Work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement.
  • Clear 3-year driver’s abstract.
  • Previous experience operating snowplow trucks and/or wheel loaders is a strong asset.

Work Conditions:

  • Shift work, on-call, and night shifts may be required due to weather conditions.

Rates & Premiums:

  • Base hourly rate from $26 to $29.25/hour based on experience.
  • Night shift and Class 1 equipment operation premiums starting at $6/hour.
  • Winter operations and tow plow unit operation premiums starting at $14/hour.
