Job description

The teacher will deliver curriculum to students at the St. Marys Catholic Learning Centre Satellite Campus. The teacher will teach three 75-minute periods and have one 75-minute preparation period. The classes could contain students from Grades 9-12 and the students could be studying at any level of the Ontario curriculum. The teacher will work as part of a team at the St. Marys Catholic Learning Centre Satellite Campus to meet the individual needs of the students. Curriculum material will be provided to teachers and students will be scheduled with teachers qualifications considered.

Program Dates : June 30 2025 to August 1 2025

Qualification(s) : Basic

  • Intermediate / Senior Qualifications

Additional : Special Education Part 1 (preferred)

Experience : Minimum of two (2) years teaching experience

Other : Demonstrated ability to implement individualized programming both in terms of content and instructional strategies based on the diagnosed needs of the individual student;

Superior communication interpersonal and organizational skills;

Strong understanding of Differentiated Instruction curriculum development and assessment / evaluation practices;

Demonstrated understanding of effective assessment practices (e.g. Growing Success);

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The teacher will be responsible for instructing assessing and reporting on credit recovery course content. The teacher will also participate in all daily meetings to receive updates provided by the facility.
