Job description

Developmental Disability / Autism Program

We are hiring 1 Office Administrator for the Clifford Bowey program location: 1300 Kitchener Avenue, Ottawa ON.

Program Duration: Thursday, July 3, 2025, to Thursday, July 24, 2025 (16 days)

Start Date: Staff Orientation (3 hours) will be required on July 2nd.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday; 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.

School hours are from 8:30 to 2:30 pm daily.

Rate of Pay: $30.96 per hour + 4%

Under the direction of the Site Administrator, the Summer School Office Administrator ensures the efficient operation of the school office; assists in providing a positive and safe learning environment for all students and staff; maintains student and staff information and records; provides support to teachers and students; assesses and directs inquiries; performs data entry and prepares correspondence; performs other duties as assigned. Working knowledge of Aspen is a must.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Familiarity with relevant legislation including the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act; The Immunization of School Pupils Act; and the Ministry of Ontario Student Record (OSR) Guidelines.
  • 1 to 2 years of School Office experience including proficiency in Aspen is required.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment.
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, Google applications, including email.
  • Organizational and time-management skills required for juggling multiple priorities and tasks; excellent interpersonal and communication skills to exchange and clarify information & respond to inquiries using tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
  • First Aid certification and the ability to administer first aid is an asset.

Please Note:

  • The Summer School Office positions are union-exempt casual assignments.
  • Casuals are paid by direct deposit 2 weeks in arrears.
  • Current School Office Administrators who accept the Summer School position will be paid at their own rate of pay.
  • This casual position is renewable on a yearly basis, subject to program funding.
