The Carillon, independent, student-run newspaper at the University of Regina, is looking for passionate and motivated students to join our editorial team this summer. If you’re eager to gain hands-on experience in journalism and multimedia production, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

The selected candidate must meet all the eligibility below:

• Between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment.
• Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, S.C. 2001, c. 27.
• Legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial legislation and regulations.

1. Audiovisual (AV) Producer

As an AV Producer, you will develop and produce engaging podcasts and social media content that brings stories to life. This role is ideal for those passionate about audio production, storytelling, and community-driven content.

• Duration: June 2 – August 1, 2025
• Hours: 30 hours/week (option to work partially from home)
• Pay: $17/hour
• Responsibilities: Develop podcast content, conduct interviews, record and edit audio, and manage social media content.

2. Newspaper Writer

As a Newspaper Writer, you will have the opportunity to research, write, and report on a wide variety of topics—from campus news to community events. This role offers a chance to enhance your writing skills and engage with the university community.

• Duration: June 2 – August 1, 2025
• Hours: 30 hours/week
• Pay: $17/hour
• Responsibilities: Write compelling articles, conduct interviews, attend events, and pitch story ideas.
