Job Description: Instructional Assistant I / II / III

This summer position is available at various sites, offering part/full-time employment with a salary range of $18.11 - $24.78 per hour or $3,139 - $4,296 per month, based on the CSEA General Unit Salary Schedule. The work year aligns with the summer calendar (June - July).

Qualifications:

• Instructional Assistant I: Experience relevant to working with groups of children; must attach proof of qualification, such as a high school diploma and either a passing score on the San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam or the CBEST. Must be willing to obtain a California Class C Driver License within 30 days if required.
• Instructional Assistant II: Experience working with students in resource, learning handicap, or communicatively handicapped programs, including small and large group assistance. Same licensing requirement as IA I.
• Instructional Assistant III: Supports students with severe/emotional disturbances, autism, or behavioral needs. Experience working with impaired children or adults and coursework in child development are highly desirable. Same licensing requirement as IA I and II.

Materials Required/Pre-qualification:

Applicants must attach proof of education and pass the IA Proficiency Test or CBEST. Specific requirements vary for Title I and Non-Title sites, including transcripts or proof of college coursework. Incomplete applications or those lacking required documents will not be considered.
