SUMMARY

The Technician I is an entry-level position primarily responsible for assisting other technicians and performing maintenance, routine, and on-demand services on grounds and non-technical facility components (e.g., walls, floors). The Technician I works in accordance with established processes and practices, ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety, and fire protection standards.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintenance
  • Perform work following established processes and practices.
  • Comply with all internal and external requirements, including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection standards.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and inspection of facilities and non-technical components.
  • Observe and report on facility conditions, deficiencies, and suggest improvements or repairs.
  • Monitor assigned facilities through walkthroughs and inspections.
  • Respond to routine service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Operate facility mechanical, electrical, and other systems.
  • Manage work orders from dispatch to completion, recording data accurately in the maintenance management system, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs, identifying deficiencies, and maintaining related documentation.
Client Relations
  • Enhance tenant and customer satisfaction by delivering quality work and services.
Administration
  • Record and monitor resolution data in the service management database.
  • Track and report the status of maintenance and repairs.
  • Prepare and submit documents for work approval.
  • Participate in facility-related projects.
  • Ensure work practices comply with policies, procedures, and legal requirements related to safety and environmental standards.
  • Maintain and repair tools and equipment as needed.
  • Submit expenditures promptly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Adherence to and execution of facility operation and maintenance processes.
  • Ability to maintain facility groups and non-technical components.
  • Observation skills for identifying deficiencies and suggesting improvements.
  • Willingness to learn and apply fire, life safety, and building codes.
