About the Opportunity

Are you ready to lead one of the largest youth sport camps in the region? The Ottawa Lions Track and Field Club is hiring a Summer Camp Manager to oversee our high-energy youth programs that bring together over 600 young athletes every summer. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children aged 6–14 while developing your leadership, planning, and event coordination skills in a sport environment.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Ottawa Lions Youth Summer Camps, including :

• Planning and delivering fun, track and field-inspired programming
• Managing and mentoring a dynamic staff team
• Organizing campers and ensuring a safe, inclusive, and exciting experience
• Promoting the camps through community outreach and events
• Supporting the club's home meets, expos, and volunteer coordination

This full-time seasonal role spans 14 weeks and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, sport-centered environment alongside experienced coaches and program leaders.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a confident, creative, and organized leader with :

• Background or studies in kinesiology, recreation, education, or sport management
• Experience working with youth aged 6–14
• Strong communication skills (French and English preferred)
• Familiarity with track & field or multi-sport environments
• Comfort with basic admin tools (MS Word, etc.) and event promotion
• A passion for creating fun and meaningful experiences through sport

Certifications Required :

• Run, Jump, Throw, Wheel (in-progress acceptable)
• Valid Police Check
• First Aid / CPR (can be completed before start date)

What We Offer

• 14 weeks of employment (Full-time)
• Located in beautiful Ottawa, Ontario
• 20.55–21.55 / hour based on experience
• Mentorship from experienced coaches and exposure to event operations
