Position Summary
The Integration Aide is a 1:3 worker who works directly with children/youth aged 5-15. The Integration Aide is responsible for providing support to children/youth with developmental disabilities in a day camp/program environment. Integration Aides support children to meet individualized goals, thrive, and have an optimal experience and works under the Keshet Community Connections Supervisor in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor.
Position requirement: must be available to work Monday to Friday
The following is a list of responsibilities for the Integration Aide:
- Provides a safe and fun environment for the participant
- Follows a specific individualized support plan plan to help best support the participant in a variety of environments
- Implements individual programs in an accurate manner to improve: social skills, communication and life skills (i.e. communicating wants/needs, social play, academics, personal hygiene, peer interactions etc.)
- Collects data based on programming developed by the Clinical Supervisor. Adjusts goals based on input/progress of the individual
- Collaborates with other employees to ensure the child/youth’s needs and goals are being met
- Monitors child’s progress and maintain daily records of program goals. Communicate records to the Keshet Community Connections Supervisor and Clinical Supervisor. Highlights concerns and plays an active role in identifying strengths and weaknesses of the participant
- Communicates effectively with parents/caregivers/other professionals about progress and/or challenges. Participates in meetings as scheduled by the Keshet Community Connections Supervisor
Candidate Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree (or one in progress) in the field of psychology, social work, education, developmental services or related
- One year experience with children/youth, preferably in a group setting.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, organization, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Flexibility and Team Player
- Microsoft Office/Access to Video-Conferencing software (i.e. zoom, teams
- Must be 18 years or older
