Requirements
Counselor, Assistant Site Director, and Specialist Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Program Director and Site Coordinator, the position is responsible for the direct care, supervision and wellbeing of all participants enrolled in the Summer Camp program.

Senior Counselor Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Program Director and Site Coordinator, the position is responsible for the direct care, supervision and wellbeing of all participants enrolled in the Summer Camp Program. The Senior Camp Counselor assists the Site Coordinator in supervising staff and oversight of all program activities.

Site Director Position Summary:

This person is responsible for assisting the Program Director/Senior Program Director with overall Program development, training/orientation of staff and supervision of all staff on site. The Summer Camp Site Coordinator manages an assigned site daily. This person assists in planning for Summer Camp, implementation of those plans, and carries out daily scheduling. The Site Coordinator is expected to uphold YMCA policies and philosophy and to use these objectives as a basis in working with everyone, participants, teachers, and caregivers.

Rate of Pay is based on position and experience, ranging from 13.00 to 21.90.

Must be 16 years old to work with our programs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ALL POSITIONS:
  • Will appear clean, neat, and appropriately attired in accordance with the Association’s Policy on personal appearance.
  • Will adhere to all YMCA and DCF policies.
  • Sets measurable goals and evaluates achievement of goals.
  • Reports to work at the scheduled time and works as scheduled.
  • Attends all staff trainings, staff meetings, and participates in family events and activities.
  • Completes work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner.
