Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Subsurface Data Analyst to join the technical team in Kimberley, BC. You will manage, integrate, and interpret large subsurface datasets generated from exploration and production activities, collaborating with geologists, geophysicists, and engineers to ensure data quality and deliver meaningful insights.

A bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Computer Science and at least three years of subsurface data experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geophysics, Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in subsurface data management and analysis.
• Proficiency with geological and geophysical software and database management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage, organize, and maintain large subsurface datasets (seismic, well logs, core data, production data).
• Perform data quality control and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Integrate diverse subsurface datasets to create geological and reservoir models.
• Develop and manage databases for subsurface information.
• Generate reports, visualizations, and summaries of subsurface data and interpretations.
• Support geoscientists and engineers in their data analysis and interpretation efforts.
