Supply Teachers - Kindergarten - Grade 12.

St‑Laurent Academy is a dynamic and inspiring JK to Grade 12 private school located in Ottawa, Ontario. We are growing significantly, recently completing our first year in our new school space in the beautiful Rockcliffe/Lindenlea neighbourhood, and are currently accepting applications for full‑time supply teachers for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Job Type: Full-Time / Full Year.

NOTE: All candidates MUST LIVE IN OTTAWA and/or the immediate OTTAWA AREA to be considered.

Qualifications:

• Must be eligible to work in Ontario.
• Excellent classroom management, organization, and planning skills.
• Excellent oral, written, communication, and presentation skills in English.
• Computer literacy: proficient and knowledgeable with all Google Suite products (Google Classroom, Docs, Slides, Forms, Sheets) Microsoft Office (Excel), and Smart‑board Technology.
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each student.
• Understands the needs of students and goes beyond the call of duty.
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents.
• Flexible, with an ability to manage to change strategies, environments, and needs.
• Coaching and Leadership experiences amongst youth (the Arts, Sports, Clubs, etc.) are important.
• Core characteristics with regards to kindness, patience, creativity, positive energy and a love for teaching is essential.

Preferred Assets (but not required):

• Ability to communicate in French (required for our JK‑SK Programs).
• Experience in a private/independent school.
• OCT accreditation.
• Experience/Education in Special Education is valued highly.
• Experience with the Barton Reading & Spelling Program and/or Orton‑Gillingham based tools.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Competitive salary with additional annual bonus components.

The school follows the traditional school year calendar from early September through late June. Our High School is per semester.
