Qualifications

Position Requirements

This is an in‑person supply teaching role. You must be able to commute to the Oxford Learning Academy in Milton and cannot work online. Relocation packages are not available and a vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education

• Ontario Teacher Certification (OCT) with Primary/Junior or Junior/Intermediate qualifications
• Teaching experience in the Primary, Junior, or Intermediate division
• Additional qualifications (asset)
• Work experience in an independent school environment (asset)
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum

Experience

• Some experience teaching or tutoring at Kindergarten to Grade 8 level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills with ability to guide student understanding
• Ability to multitask and manage up to 12 students simultaneously
• Must be able to commit to supplying until the end of the school year
• Experience with Smartboard technology

Role

In this position, you will help students develop confidence, self‑esteem, and academic ability. You will provide engaging, individualized instruction during a typical school day, supporting a variety of learning styles and fostering a positive classroom environment.

Compensation

Salary: $22 per hour to begin.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
• Availability on Saturday as required
