Grande Yellowhead Public School Division No.77 is seeking Substitute Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year to cover Lobstick, Edson, Hinton, Jasper and Grande Cache zones in Alberta.
Substitute teachers deliver quality instruction in the absence of the regular teacher, maintain a safe learning environment, follow or develop lesson plans, communicate with the absent teacher and principal, and uphold Education Act responsibilities across multi-grade classrooms.

Grande Yellowhead Public School Division (GYPSD) stretches from Jasper National Park, east to Evansburg, south of Cadomin, and northwest to Grande Cache. The jurisdiction includes 15 schools, 5 Learning Connection Centres, approximately 5000 students and 600 staff. The Division is governed by seven elected Trustees.

ATA Collective Agreement
As per the Alberta Teaching Association (ATA) Collective agreement, substitute teachers are paid a daily rate of $284.71 and a half day rate of $142.35 . In accordance with Administrative Procedure 423, substitute teachers are also eligible for a professional growth & development annual allotment of $2,500.
