Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of the Substation Service, Modernization, and Lifecycle Management business across North America. You will identify opportunities, build executive relationships, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to deliver innovative, lifecycle-focused solutions.

You will lead strategic customer engagements, manage the sales cycle from identification to order, and contribute to forecasting and pipeline

Qualifications

• 8+ years of business development, service sales, account management, or power industry sales leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of high-voltage substations, GIS/AIS, transformers, protection & control systems, and grid infrastructure.
• Experience with lifecycle management, modernization programs, retrofit solutions, and long-term service agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to grow substation service and modernization portfolios.
• Identify, qualify, and advance opportunities within utilities, renewable energy, industrial, transportation, and commercial markets.
• Drive revenue through lifecycle services, retrofit projects, and long-term service agreements.
• Build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline to hit annual targets.
• Lead bid strategy development, pricing, and commercial risk assessments.
