Subcontract Buyer

A top 10 contractor is looking for a Subcontract Buyer to join their team in Brighton. The main objective of the role will be to support a Quantity Surveyor with subcontract procurement for utilities projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the Procurement Manager in delivering various utility project procurement strategies
• Assist the QS with subcontract packages
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with our supply chain and internal stakeholders
• Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies

Part of a strong regional procurement team who manage a project worth over £1 billion across the next 7 - 10 years.

Candidate Requirements

Our client is ideally looking for candidates with 1+ years subcontract experience, but are also open to seeing candidates with 3+ years' material procurement experience as full subcontract training can be provided.

You'll have experience of working on projects across either construction or civil engineering.

Experience with NEC is desirable but not essential.
