Job summary

Sobeys Inc. in Sydney River, Nova Scotia, is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented pharmacy team member to support patient-centered care and daily pharmacy operations.

The role involves processing prescriptions, handling refills, organizing medications, and assisting with clinical services while upholding company standards. Pharmacy experience is an asset and Tech certification is preferred.

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions).
• Receive in-person and phone refill requests and record deliveries.
• Pill Pack Assembly and filing prescriptions; replenish supplies.
• Drug order creation and receiving; schedule professional clinical services.
• Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, etc.
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

• Process customer transactions (receive and release prescriptions)
• Receive in-person and telephone refill requests and record deliveries
• Pill Pack Assembly
• Filing prescriptions, ordering and replenishing supplies, cleaning
• Drug order creation and receiving
• Schedule professional clinical services (i.e. medication reviews, health risk assessments, disease state managements etc.)
• BTC management
• Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s, manual third parties
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
• Assist with other pharmacy operations as required

What you have to offer:

• Preferred: Undergraduate degree, Pharmacy Technology Certificate or other Pharmacy Recognized program
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
