The Center for Early Childhood Education at Fort Hill is looking for a Studio Visual Arts Supervising Teacher. Join a team of passionate educators dedicated to supporting young children's growth through the renowned Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizing the uniqueness of each child's learning experience, arts, curiosity, and inquiry-based exploration. Each child becomes part of a community engaging in childhood's joy, work, and wonder.
Ideal candidates will have a background in visual arts education and early childhood education, supervising the visual arts studio in the morning and teaching in the afternoon. The role involves pedagogical leadership, curriculum development, and documentation inspired by Reggio principles.
Located on Lyman Road in Northampton, Massachusetts, our facility offers a warm, welcoming environment since 2005.
Develop and evaluate a comprehensive early childhood program in visual arts, coordinate the studio, and develop integrated curriculum. Supervise the afternoon program, communicate the school's philosophy, lead school-wide initiatives, and build positive relationships with families, colleagues, and the community. Maintain the studio environment, assess children’s development, and support professional growth.
