Job summary

Edge Imaging Inc. is seeking a Studio Photographer to work on-site at the University of Saskatchewan campus, photographing university students during sessions in Saskatoon, Canada.

The role is full-time, with Monday–Friday hours and occasional weekend work to support photo days. Responsibilities include opening and closing the studio, lighting, prop setup, and coordinating day-of operations to ensure efficient sessions.

Qualifications

• Photography experience not required, but preferred.
• Strong customer focus and organization skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
• Experience working with students is an asset.
• Experience in customer service is an asset.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the studio.
• Meter photography lights and adjust as needed.
• Set up photoshoot props (gowns, graduation props).
• Coordinate photo day at the University to ensure sessions run efficiently.
• Photograph graduates inside the studio and outdoors.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

The Role

The Studio Photographer will be on-site during University photo sessions to photograph university students at the University of Saskatchewan campus. This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday and/or weekends as needed

What You Will Focus On:

• Opening and closing the studio
• Meter photography lights and make adjustments where necessary
• Set up of photoshoot props such as gowns and graduation props
• Assist with the coordination of photo day at the University to ensure the sessions run efficiently
• Photograph University graduates inside the studio and outdoors
• Other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• Photography experience not required, but preferred

• Ability to work independently and deal with multiple and changing priorities
• Experience working with students is an asset
• Experience working in customer service is an asset
• Successful candidates require reliable car with the ability to carry photographic equipment
• As this position involves working with students, the successful applicants must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada

• Ability to lift up to 35lbs
• Ability to stand, walk and bend repetitively for extended periods of time
