HOURS OF WORK :

Monday to Friday – 8 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Student Success Coordinator will work within the Odette Student Success Centre framework to improve undergraduate student retention and facilitate student-centered programming. The primary focus is to coordinate the HOUSE mentorship program, evaluate and identify students at risk, and refer them through various means to ensure retention and success within the business curriculum.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :

The successful candidate will have :

  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent business degree
  • Experience applying student development theory to advising support
  • Understanding of all degrees, programs, certificates, specializations, and courses at the Odette School of Business
  • Experience evaluating and interpreting advising reports
  • Knowledge of academic regulations, bylaws, admission processes, and academic requirements for OSB programs
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for individual and group interactions
  • Ability to identify, assess, and resolve problems, especially in stressful situations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to support initiatives with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), internet-based databases, and social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, etc.)
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Understanding of other programs and courses at the University of Windsor
  • Knowledge of UWindsor and Odette School of Business policies and procedures

Rate of Pay : Classification "VI" per Schedule A of the Collective Agreement.
