A leading educational institution in Hamilton, Ontario is seeking a Student Success Advisor to provide academic and personal advising, support student retention initiatives, and engage in various outreach strategies. Ideal candidates should hold a Bachelor of Education or equivalent and possess significant advising experience. The role includes duties across multiple advising formats, making it essential to have strong communication skills and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.

As a vital link between Student Services and the Academic Schools, the SSA also provides support to the Associate Dean(s) (or Manager) in the program areas they are assigned to provide advising services. The SSA actively participates as a team member in meetings and daily operations of both Student Services and their assigned Academic Schools/Programs.
As the first point of contact for students in their respective Academic Programs or target populations, the SSA must be able to respond to, investigate, and resolve inquiries from students, staff, faculty, and other departments.
