Responsibilities

Assists the Software QA Analyst on developing test plans. Performs QA testing using approved test plans and test cases. Record QA defects and results as identified by the team. Contributes to the continuous improvement of the quality assurance processes and practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Requires completion of a minimum of two (2) years post-secondary education in an undergraduate degree program in computer science, or computer systems engineering, or software engineering or mathematics from a recognized university or technology institution with courses in business and systems analysis, software design and testing, and use of software testing tools.

Experience

Requires three (3) months of recent related experience in the testing of commercial software and web applications through the use of software testing processes and methodologies, commercial test frameworks, test automation tools, and test tracking tools.

Other Information

Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Work Schedule

37.5 hours per week.

This is a full-time temporary assignment for approximately six (6) months.

Work Designation

Hybrid

This position offers the flexibility of working both on-site and remotely within B.C.

Rate of Pay

Salary $5,339.08 - $6,398.32 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).

The Total Compensation Package includes Extended Health, Transit Pass and enrollment in the Public Service Pension Plan upon eligibility.
