AbaData, a growing Energy Technology company, is seeking 3rd- or 4th-year Computer Science or Engineering students for Spring 2027 internships in Calgary. You’ll contribute to real features used by customers while learning from experienced developers who mentor the next generation of tech talent.

Join a team working on HTML/CSS/JavaScript front-ends and back-end components (C#/.NET, Node.js) with MS SQL Server.

Qualifications

• 3rd or 4th year Computer Science or Engineering student
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JS frameworks (e.g. React, Dojo)
• Exposure to back-end development (e.g., C#/.NET, Node.js)
• Experience with MS SQL Server or relational databases is an asset
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with experienced developers and product experts to build software solutions for the energy industry
• Write code across the full stack from front-end interfaces to database design
• Create and maintain AbaData features and functionality
• Participate in code reviews, stand-ups, and mentorship sessions with senior developers
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug software to a high bar of performance and reliability

The Opportunity

We're lookingfor curious, motivated Student Software Developers in their 3rd or 4thyear to join us for Spring 2027 for a 4 month or 8 month term.

What you’ll be doing
