About the Role

The Settlement and Structured Transactions Group is looking to hire a student for the Fall 2025 coop term. The student will assist the group with analysis of information and invoicing of transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate the sale and purchase of energy related transactions;
  • Collect, document and resolve variances between internal and external data;
  • Recognize discrepancies and follow up until they are resolved;
  • Calculate, estimate and validate costs and credits relating to energy transactions;
  • Reconcile settlement statements and invoices;
  • Create accounting entries using accounting software (IFS);
  • Compile and organize data from multiple sources for reporting purposes;
  • Update large excel workbooks and run reports;
  • Provide support for various analysis;
  • Communicate with various departments and with external counterparties.

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Full-time student in university enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree;
  • Registered in a cooperative program or available for the Fall term;
  • Completed at least the first year of university studies in Accounting, Finance, Administration, Economy Management or any related field.
  • Detail oriented;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, and as part of a team;
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills and able to takes initiatives;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • Resourceful and organized;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite especially in Excel

Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield’s identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively.
