Position Summary
I am seeking applicants for one Research Assistant who will be responsible for assisting in a research project as outlined below.

Project Title – Complex Needs and Community Services: Exploring Experiences of Formerly Incarcerated Older Adults and Community Service Providers in Saskatchewan

Project Focus In the current project, we will explore the complex needs (health, social, etc.) of formerly incarcerated older adults, connecting them to the benefits and challenges of community services. Our goal is to develop a comprehensive understanding of how complex needs are experienced in community spaces, and how these factors affect the lives of older adults upon release from incarceration, and community service providers in their work to facilitate services for this unique, vulnerable population.

Objectives

  • Identify the challenges formerly incarcerated older adults face
  • Assess the implementation of community services (i) by community service providers, and (ii) for formerly incarcerated older adults who are navigating services
  • Suggest changes that must be made to community services
